Lecture Week 1-3

In the first three weeks, I learned so much! The three main topics were focused on listening to God's voice, the characteristics of the Father's heart, and the Holy Spirit. Building a strong foundation in your faith and understanding who you are obeying, why you listen, and what He is saying will lay the groundwork. In the first week, we heard lectures about the importance of listening to God, obeying God, and never giving up. It is incredibly important to posture yourself in His teachings. The goal with YWAM is to be effective missionaries but the first step in this is to be a devoted disciple because once you are a disciple you will always be a missionary in all things. When the Lord speaks His word remains. Lean into his word and posture yourself in His word, do everything you can, and let God do the rest. Jesus has scars and they hold AUTHORITY. God's story began before me and will continue after me. To be a disciple of the lord is to lay down the rights you think you deserve and recognize it is not about dying for your rights but to your rights. Delight in the uncomfortable and find joy in the challenges. God is love, you are complete in and through Him. he is a god of love, mercy, and patience. Acknowledge your brokenness and respect that you need him.

One big question was how do we know if it is of God? A good way to move about this is to test it according to the word? Does it reflect the character of God? And does it testify to your spirit?

You are worthy and fully loved by God. Connection is found through healing, His love is merciful God did not create us because he needs us to receive love. He is love. The father, son, and holy spirit will ALWAYS be in perfect union. Community, and love. The earth and everything in it were created as a product of their love, including me and all humans. In His IMAGE. We were created to be communal with God and with others. Pay attention to God's presence and be present in His presence. Man separates, god does not separate from us. He continues to protect and love us through our shame and provides hope by promising Jesus. He sent us our savior Jesis to die on the cross and defeat all through the resurrection and allowing us to dwell with Him again through heaven and the holy spirit. Conflict should lead to deeper intimacy and failure is never final with the Father is present, and sit at his feet.
